Questions

Is this the official Pompeii audio guide?

No. Vereda Guides is an independent guide made by CanaryCoders, a small company on Lanzarote. It has no link with the archaeological park and doesn't include an entry ticket. Buy your ticket from the park.

Where does the walk start?

At Porta Marina, a few minutes on foot from Pompei Scavi station, and it ends at the Amphitheatre. Coming in through another gate? Pick any stop and the directions start from where you are.

How long does it take?

The route is about 2,5 km. With time to look around, plan two to two and a half hours. The audio adds up to about 16 minutes, so most of the time is yours.

Do I need mobile data?

In the browser, yes: the audio streams as you go, under 10 MB for the whole tour. The app will let you download it before you leave the hotel.

Which languages are there?

English, Spanish, Dutch, German and Italian. Every stop has a written transcript too, which helps in a noisy crowd or with hearing loss.

How do I use it on a second phone?

Sign in with the e-mail address you paid with. We send a link and a 6-digit code, no password. The single tour works on 1 device at a time, Family on 4.

Does the guide track where I go?

Your position is used on your phone to give directions, and only after you choose "I'm at Pompeii". It is never sent to us.

Can I get a refund?

Yes. Write to hello@veredamaps.com within 7 days of buying, as long as fewer than 2 paid stops have been played.
