Terms of sale and use

Last updated: 16/10/2026

These terms apply when you use Vereda Guides on guides.veredamaps.com or in the Vereda Guides app, and when you buy a tour. Vereda Guides is run by CanaryCoders SL, CIF B05278437, Calle Dámaso Alonso 6, 35507 Teguise, Las Palmas, Spain, registered in the Registro Mercantil de Las Palmas. You can reach us at hello@veredamaps.com. This page also carries the company details required by article 10 of the Spanish LSSI (Ley 34/2002).

1. What you get

A tour is digital content: recorded audio, transcripts, directions and a 3D model of the site, used through the browser or the app. When you buy a tour, you get a personal, non-transferable licence to use it for your own visits. The content stays ours or our licensors'.

The free 3D visit includes the introduction and the first stop in full, plus a 20-second preview of every other stop. The paid tour unlocks all stops in all available languages.

2. Devices and your account

  • A single tour works on 1 device at a time. A Family purchase works on up to 4 devices at the same time.
  • Purchases are linked to the e-mail address you pay with. You sign in on other devices with a link or a 6-digit code we send to that address. Keep access to that mailbox safe.
  • You can move a tour to another device from the My tours page by removing an old one.
  • We may suspend an account that is used for fraud or to share a tour beyond its device limit.

3. Prices and payment

  • Prices are in euros and include taxes.
  • On the website you pay through Stripe, by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Your payment details go to Stripe, not to us.
  • In the app, purchases run through the App Store or Google Play under their terms. Refunds for those purchases are handled by Apple or Google.
  • A purchase does not expire. If we ever have to stop offering a tour, we will tell you at least 6 months in advance.

4. Delivery and your right of withdrawal

As a consumer in the EU you normally have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase. For digital content that is not supplied on a physical medium, that right ends once supply has started, if you agreed to immediate supply and acknowledged that you lose the right of withdrawal (Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU; article 103(m) of the Spanish consumer law, TRLGDCU).

At checkout we ask you for both. The tour is unlocked as soon as the payment is confirmed, and the confirmation e-mail repeats your consent.

5. Our 7-day refund promise

On top of what the law requires: if you change your mind within 7 days of buying and fewer than 2 paid stops have been played, write to hello@veredamaps.com from the address you paid with. We refund the full price to the original payment method within 14 days and remove the tour from your account.

6. If something doesn't work

You have the legal guarantee for digital content. If a tour doesn't work as described, tell us and we will fix it. If we can't fix it within a reasonable time, you can ask for a price reduction or a full refund.

The browser version streams audio and needs a mobile data connection. The app needs a supported version of iOS or Android.

7. On site

Pompeii's streets are ancient and uneven, with high kerbs and stepping stones. Watch where you walk, not your screen. Directions are a guide: follow the site's signs, closures and staff instructions. Buildings mentioned in a tour may be closed on the day of your visit.

Vereda Guides is an independent guide. It has no link with the Parco Archeologico di Pompei and does not include an entry ticket.

8. Fair use

Don't copy, resell, rebroadcast or publish the tours, and don't try to get around the free limits or the device limits.

9. Liability

We are liable under the law for damage we cause intentionally or through gross negligence, and for death or personal injury. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by contract.

10. Changes

We may update these terms, for example when we add tours or the app. Changes do not reduce what you already bought. The date at the top shows the current version.

11. Law and complaints

Spanish law applies. If you live elsewhere in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country, and you can go to the courts where you live. Write to hello@veredamaps.com with any complaint; we answer within one month.
